Staples ad confirms Apple iPhone 6s name…or does it?

, a poorly timed newspaper ad from Staples seals the deal. Or does it?

In the office supply store’s Sunday circular (you know, the ads that make your Sunday paper triple the regular size), is an ad for the Verizon Apple iPhone 6/6s. The ad reveals that Big Red will give buyers of either iPhone model $100 in instant credit, and a $100 Visa prepaid card rebate with any new Device Payment activation on a Verizon phone. We wonder if the copywriter meant to write iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus. This wouldn’t be the first time that some confusion reigned because the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus was accidentally listed as the iPhone 6s. Looking at the ad, it does look like the image shows the iPhone 6 and the larger phablet next to it.

Apple will make the two new phones official on Wednesday, September 9th. At the same time, we could see the Apple iPad mini 4 and the Apple iPad Pro unveiled as well. There are bound to be some interesting leaks in the next few days, so check in with us early and often!

Thanks for the tip!
