News, sports scores, weather and flight schedules can be streamed on your Apple Watch once watchOS 2 is installed. The information comes from third party apps. Spinning the digital crown will allow users to move forward in time, showing future weather forecasts and upcoming events. The update also adds Nightstand Mode. This turns your Apple Watch into an always-on bedside alarm clock while it is being charged, and turned on its side on your dresser.

Color will be added to Digital Touch drawings, and emails can be returned using preset replies, voice dictation or emoji. With watchOS 2, third party fitness apps can integrate into Apple Watch, and the update brings Apple Pay to your wrist.

If you’re an Apple Watch user, keep an eye peeled for watchOS 2 which will start rolling out a week from today. During today’s event, Apple confirmed that customer satisfaction with the wearable is at an amazing 97%.
