Earlier this month, Samsung released an image of its large-screened slate, the Samsung Galaxy View. With an 18.4-inch display (rumored to be LCD) carrying a resolution of 1080 x 1920, the monster-sized slate is expected to be powered by the new Exynos 7580 chipset. The latter will carry an octa-core 1.6GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 MP4 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of internal, expandable storage. A 5700mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

Today, a document has surfaced revealing that the Galaxy View has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG. There isn’t much information except the confirmation of the SM-T670 model number, and the revelation that Bluetooth 4.1 is on the tablet. Now that the Samsung Galaxy View has been Bluetooth certified, it does indicate that we could see the slate unveiled in the not too distant future.

With an 18.4-inch screen, it would seem that this model is being designed for watching entertainment-themed content, like streaming video, at home. Unlike the 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro, the Samsung Galaxy View is a bit too unwieldy to be used out in the field by salesmen or researchers.
