This article said “…pens generally have more limited use than pencils (outside of work done by the most accomplished of artists)”.

And the writer even demeaned the S Pen as being akin to what a finger does on a capacitive screen. The S Pen can give me, a practicing visual artist, the control to do digital painting even with my Note 2 before:

Let’s just call the Apple Pencil for what it is – an active digitizer stylus. There was no need for the author to complicate it with the definitions – it’s just a pressure-sensitive input device.
