there phones with huge splashes of water. Most devices can handle splashes, but not being submerged.

For 2 devices that are not IP67/68 rated against water and dust, they both did very well.

While at the Disney Parks this summer, I had my S6 Edge 128GB in my pocket and I got on several rides that had water where my shorts were soaked. I forgot I had the phone in my pocket. My wife left her Note 4 in the car most of the time.

As wet as it got, it didn’t get damaged and after it dried the speakers which sound bad at first, cleared up. I was very surprised.

I thing the new unibody designs are so tight, water can only get in through the holes.
I was so afraid to charge my device so I let it completely dry overnight my leaving it under a light and I powered it off. I turned it on the very next day. I figured the worse that could happen It explodes and I have to pay $200 to get it replaced. Was still in perfect condition when it sold.

Both Apple and Samsung have stepped it up in making durable phones on some level.
