Thus far, it has become clear through numerous leaks and reports, that OnePlus will be launching another handset this year. Allegedly, it will be called the OnePlus X and it will offer a more compact form factor, but a more premium build. Rumors also suggest that its specs will not be on the side of bleeding edge of tech.
Well, a new set of advertorial slides has leaked, reaffirming previous whispers, and shedding some more light on what the OnePlus X might end up being. The posters are in Chinese, so we suppose that the smartphone may first launch in Asia, before being ready for international shipping. That is, of course, if OnePlus doesn’t pull the good old invite system again.
So, on to the info. The OnePlus X is expected to have a 5” display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution, and it looks like the phone will have a pretty big screen-to-body ratio, at least judging from the thin side bezels seen on the posters. It will rock the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 – the SoC of choice for 2014 flagships, which is still a pretty potent processor. In the memory department, it’s reported to come with a 3 GB RAM chip and storage options of either 16 GB or 32 GB, expandable via microSD. It’s main snapper will have a 13 MP resolution, there is no info about the selfie cam yet.
The price of the OnePlus X was leaked a couple of days ago – again, via a poster. It will allegedly cost around $270 when it launches in China. Supposedly, the big reveal will happen on a OnePlus event tomorrow.
