BlackBerry has been pretty low key about the Priv, and did not even hold a media event to introduce it to the world. The device is expected to launch in certain markets, including the U.S. and Canada, on November 6th. The phone has been priced at $699 in the U.S., and you can reserve the Priv directly from the manufacturer.
The BlackBerry Priv features a 5.4-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 808 chipset, which includes a hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of native storage. Those seeking additional memory can access the 2TB capacity microSD slot. The 18MP rear camera comes with an aperture of f/2.2 and OIS, and the 2MP snapper takes selfies and handles video chats. The 3410mAh juicer should provide long battery life, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed.
