Here’s the gist of it: we’re going to download and install FireTube, a third-party YouTube client that allows background playback. It also has a nifty screen-off playback functionality which won’t pause the video or playlist you’re playing if you turn the screen off. FireTube is free and ad-supported

Unfortunately, FireTube’s main traits are against YouTube’s policies, so it can’t be found on the Play Store. Luckily, Amazon’s Android App Store has it! So, out first step is to head on to Amazon and grab its Underground app for Android (click here for direct download). Proceed with the installation as you would with any sideloaded Android app.
