All I said it’s not exciting, not that it’s not Premium. Though this topic, premium or not is very interesting because what defines “premium” in your opinion? The most premium thing about it IMO is price tag, 4K display, what does it change in terms of “premium”. Battery, let’s wait for tests, though my Z3 Compact was champ in this department so I can trust Sony on this one. Basically Z5P is just Z3 with 4K display that at least 70% of buyers wouldn’t care for. SD cards were there always on Z line and God bless Sony for that, I don’t even consider buying phone without SD slot these days, but Hi-res audio? I suggest you read some articles about software gimmicks, because they are never as good as implementing DAC, like ZTE did recently or Samsung with Wolfson, Apple with Cirrus and HTC with its own. Makes me wonder why Sony can include special DAC in their audio players but not in 800$ phone…
You’ll say that I’m hating, no, I just don’t see anything justifying the premium price tag, it’s not Vertu that uses some really expensive materials for their phones (just for art I guess). And please don’t say “oh but you don’t have this problem with Apple selling 300$ phone for 800”, no I also sh.t on them for that and now many companies do the same thing, Sammy with S6 and Note and now Sony, HTC or even MS.

Overall, I love Z5 Compact, I loved Z3C and I’ll get Z5C as soon as it hit the shelves, but the direction OEMs take these days makes me worried, looks like every company wants to be Apple, I don’t blame them, who wouldn’t want, but on Android there is incredible competition and selling phones with such price isn’t good idea.
