A phone called the Huawei angler was recently run through the GeekBench benchmark test. The angler happens to be a code name for the manufacturer’s upcoming Nexus device. The test revealed that the Snapdragon 810 SoC is driving the stock Android handset, which will include an octa-core CPU (which ran at 1.55GHz during the test) and the Adreno 430 GPU. Also revealed by the test was the news that the handset will sport 3GB of RAM.
On GeekBench, the Huawei Nexus 6 had a single-core score of 1156, with a multi-core tally of 3641. That is pretty close to the score produced by the LG built Nexus 5X. The latter, powered by the Snapdragon 808 SoC and its hexa-core CPU, had a single-core score of 1082 and a multi-core score of 3298 during the summer.
One last bit of news derived from the Huawei Nexus 6’s GeekBench test. As you might expect, Android 6.0 will be pre-installed. Both the Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6 are expected to be unveiled on September 29th.
Thanks for the tip!
