HTC has been in trouble for years. I think they could have made more of a splash with a clean-sheet redesign on the M9, like all the leaks were showing. Instead it looked like an M8 with a bit of a shave.
No, the performance of the SD810 didn’t help matters, but the rest of the package was lacking too: design, camera, same M8 screen. HTC had a good thing with the M7 and M8, and they are responsible for the M9 being a dud.
Could Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 be behind the poor battery life of high-end Android phones?
