While it’s powered by the same processor as the Diamond S (64-bit, 8-core MediaTek MT6753 clocked at 1.5 GHz), the Archos Diamond Plus is larger, thanks to the fact that it sports a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels. The handset features LTE connectivity, Android 5.1 Lollipop, dual SIM support, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage space, and a 2850 mAh battery.
The back of the Archos Diamond Plus reminds us of the HTC One M9, especially because of its camera design. Speaking of it, the rear camera of the new smartphone is a 16 MP one with LED flash, while on the front you’ll find an 8 MP shooter.
The Diamond Plus will be launched in November for €229. Its price for the US market hasn’t been revealed, but it might be around $230 anyway.
Archos will showcase the Diamond Plus, Diamond S, Diamond Tab, and the 50 Cesium (this one is a Windows 10 Mobile smartphone) at IFA 2015 later this week.
