The device is sturdy, and as we showed you back in August, it survived a drop test and a water test. Keep in mind that the phone is not officially water resistant, so we would suggest that you don’t take any chances with it.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is equipped with a 5.5-inch screen, carrying a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (FHD). That gives the display a 401ppi pixel density. The MediaTek MT6795 chipset drives the device, and contains an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and a PowerVR G6200 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB/32GB of expandable storage. A 13MP camera adorns the back of the phone, with a front-facing 5MP snapper in front to shoot selfies and handle video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 3060mAh battery, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed with MIUI 7 running on top.
Xiaomi expects sales of the phone to increase over the next few months, which includes the upcoming holiday shopping season. Can the company sell 8 million Redmi Note 2 units in the fourth quarter? Xiaomi would have to sell a little less than 2.7 million phones a month from October to the end of December to reach its goal.
Thanks for the tip!
