Snag a $15 gift card today from Best Buy by trying on the Microsoft Band 2

A tweet from Paul Britton, who handles marketing for the Microsoft Band and HoloLens, reveals that Sunday is the only day left for consumers to partake in a demo of the new Microsoft Band 2 live, at select Best Buy locations. Demos actually started on Saturday, and will continue throughout today. If you do allow the big box retailer to put the device on your wrist to try out, you will receive a $15 gift card toward the purchase of the Microsoft Band 2, or any fitness tracker or smartwatch.

To find the closest Best Buy near you that is running the promotion, click on the sourcelink, head over to the listing for the Microsoft Band 2, and click on “Sunday.” You can then type in your zip code to find out the closest store that will let you check out Microsoft’s newest wearable, and earn that $15 gift card.

The Microsoft Band 2 can be pre-ordered by Best Buy in small, medium and large for $249.99. The wearable works with Windows Phone (8.1 or higher), iOS (8.1.2 or higher) and Android (4.3 or higher). The device tracks your heart rate, calculates the number of calories burned while exercising, and will also measure the quality of your sleep. It counts the distance that you have run, and will also offer a recommended workout to try. You can also receive notifications of calls, texts and emails, and be reminded about an appointment.

The wearable is equipped with a Gorilla Glass 3 protected AMOLED screen, with a 320 x 128 resolution. Cortana integration is included, and Microsoft says that the device will run for up to 48 hours between charges. Shipping begins on October 30th.
