Samsung is said to be working on sequels to the Samsung Galaxy A3, Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A7. Two unannounced Samsung handsets, the SM-A310 and the SM-A710, were put through the GFXBench benchmark test. These could be the sequels to the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7. Thanks to the benchmark tests, we can pass along possible specs for both devices.

The SM-A310 (the possible Galaxy A3 sequel) features a 4.7-inch display with a 720 x 1280 resolution. The Exynos 7580 SoC is under the hood, containing a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. 1.5GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of native storage. A 13MP camera adorns the back of the unit, with a 5MP snapper in front. Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed.

The SM-A710 (the possible Galaxy A7 sequel) is equipped with a 5.5-inch screen carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 615 chipset drives the unit, which comes with an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of native memory. The camera combo from back to front weighs in at 13MP/5MP, and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed.

Last week, we saw the SM-A310F and the SM-A510F listed on India’s import-export tracking Zauba website. The listing confirms the 4.7-inch screen-size for the Galaxy A3 sequel, and reveals that the sequel for the Samsung Galaxy A5 will offer a 5.2-inch screen.

No word yet on when Samsung might unveil these devices, although they seem to be pretty far along in the process.
