Samsung has yet to mention when it’s going to announce and launch the Galaxy View, but the device might be released pretty soon anyway. B&H and Adorama, two important US retailers, have already started listing the Galaxy View on their websites, alongside its price: $599 for the 32 GB, Wi-Fi-only model. However, for now, the two retailers can’t say when the giant tablet is expected to start shipping.
Apparently, the 18.4-inch screen of the Samsung Galaxy View has a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The tablet seemingly also features an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7580 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, microSD card support, a 2 MP font-facing camera, and a battery capable of providing up to 8.5 hours of video playback.
Obviously, $599 is not exactly an accessible price for an Android slate in general, though it’s true that most tablets have screens around (or under) 10 inches. Do you think you’d want to use the giant Galaxy View? Let us know in the comments section.
