LG G4 Note/Pro photos leak at TENАA, reveal metallic frame and removable back cover

Earlier today, a couple of reports from LG’s home country of South Korea claimed to reveal some interesting details about LG’s upcoming phablet. According to these reports, the smartphone, expected to be called either the LG G4 Pro or the LG G4 Note will be unveiled on October 10th and will come with a plastic build, a removable battery, as well as back-mounted buttons. Just hours later, the LG G4 Pro/Note was spotted making its appearance in the database of China’s TENAA, which is a regulatory organization similar to the FCC in the United States.

The photos show the smartphone, codenamed LG-H968, from four angles in decent quality, allowing us to take a sneak peek at LG’s upcoming high-end effort. Before diving into the details and dissecting this leak, it should be noted that, despite fitting the bill perfectly, we can’t confirm the handset as the LG G4 Pro/Note.

On the front, the device shows a refined top bezel design with the proximity and light sensors moved under the display glass in the top-left corner. The front-facing camera was moved to the right of what appears to be a wider speaker grill.

The photos reveal that the LG G4 Pro will come with what appears to be a metallic frame. However, it’s hard to tell if that is real metal or not, especially given that the company seems to be very good at making plastic builds with metallic textures. Bear in mind that LG backtracked on its original “super premium” comment and downgraded its upcoming phablet to a high-end effort.

The back of the phone reveals what’s most likely a removable hard-touch plastic cover, a primary camera sensor flanked by a laser autofocus unit and a dual-LED flash. Below the camera, LG’s back-mounted make an appearance, but we can’t tell if the circular home button integrates a fingerprint scanner or not.

Unlike most TENAA leaks, this one tells us absolutely nothing about the phone’s internal hardware or the size and resolution of the display. At the rate the LG G4 Pro/Note leaks have been surfacing online lately, it probably won’t be long before we find out these details as well.
