As you’ll see in the video (embedded below), you don’t need to resort to sorcery or something like that to recharge the Note5 while away from a power outlet. What you do need, according to Samsung, is one its new Battery Packs – which, of course, are sold separately. Available in gold or silver, these Samsung Battery Packs offer 5200 mAh capacities, and cost $69.99 a piece.
While the Samsung Battery Pack is compatible with most devices that can be charged via a USB port, its highlight feature – Fast Charge – works only with the following Samsung handsets: Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 active, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and – of course – Galaxy Note5. Samsung says that its Battery Pack can charge these handsets from 0 to 50% in about half an hour.
A portable battery pack (be it made by Samsung or not) can be useful to have, indeed. Would you buy one? Or maybe you already have one? Let us know in the comments section.
