According to British website Digital Spy, a Samsung spokesperson declared that, since the company made the Gear S2 family play nice with non-Samsung Android handsets, it’s also “looking at possibilities to open it up to iOS.” Of course, this is far from being a confirmation that the S2 smartwatches will one day work with iPhones. But at least we know that it could happen at some point.
Samsung will release the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic in October (for prices that haven’t been officially revealed, though the Classic will definitely be more expensive than the regular S2). Both smartwatches are water-resistant, and feature 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED displays with 360 x 360 pixels.
