T-Mobile took its aerial assault down south on Tuesday, to Dallas, where it could turn its attention to AT&T. The latter has been Legere’s favorite target, and it is easy to see why. Where Verizon fought back, AT&T did nothing as the message “End overages now AT&T” filled up the airspace above AT&T headquarters.
The nation’s third largest carrier reported this morning that it added 2.3 million net new subscribers for the third quarter. T-Mobile posted a net profit of $138 million versus a loss of $94 million in last year’s third quarter. To celebrate T-Mobile’s new listing on NASDAQ, Legere rang the opening bell for the computerized market on Tuesday morning.
