Last week, while announcing the One A9, HTC confirmed that the handset would be compatible with Verizon’s LTE network. However, it didn’t say exactly when customers would be able to buy an A9 for/from Verizon. But now, if we take a look at the official HTC One A9 webpage (for the US), we can see that the smartphone should come to Verizon “in December.”
At the moment, the One A9 is offered for $399 off contract, and you can choose to use it on AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Cricket, MetroPCS, and other smaller wireless service providers. Starting November 7, the handset’s price will go up to $499.
The HTC One A9 is the first non-Nexus smartphone to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The handset has a controversial metal design, sports a 5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. Other features include a 13 MP rear camera, a 4 MP UltraPixel front-facing camera, and a 2150 mAh battery. Check out our HTC One A9 review for a closer look at the device.
All One A9 variants sold in the US come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage space. So, is anyone planning to buy the new One and use it on Verizon’s network?
