Sporting a 4.6-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, the Z5 Compact is the smallest handset from Sony’s brand new Xperia Z5 series, which also includes the 5.2-inch Z5, and the 5.5-inch Z5 Premium (both of which will be released at later dates). Highlight features of the Z5 Compact include a 23 MP rear camera with fast auto focus and 4K video recording, fingerprint scanner, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 32 GB of expandable storage space, and a 2700 mAh battery. The Z5 Compact runs Android Lollipop, and, like most Xperias launched in the last few years, it’s dust- and water-resistant (IP 68 certified). At the moment, we don’t know if Sony is planning to release the Xperia Z5 Compact in the US, but the smartphone will certainly be sold in more European markets, as well as in various Asian countries.
