With millions and millions of selfies taken each hour around the globe, it was just a matter of time before a well-known smartphone manufacturer would launch a handset with the word selfie included in its name. That’s what Asus recently did with the ZenFone Selfie – a relatively affordable (~$320) Android Lollipop smartphone that offers a 13 MP front-facing camera with laser auto focus and dual LED flash.

Thankfully, Asus isn’t encouraging users to take selfies whenever, wherever. It’s actually promoting the handset by showing potential customers when not to take selfies – like when driving, biking, or uhm, flying, or in dangerous situations (around moving trains, animals, and so on). This, of course, is a good thing, as it turns out that selfies (or the attempts to take badass ones) kill more people than sharks.

The ZenFone Selfie is a pretty large phone – not just because of the big front-facing camera, but also because it sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, also featuring a 13 MP rear camera, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB or 32 GB of expandable storage space, and a 3000 mAh battery.
