According to an internal Bell memo (Bell being one of Canada’s largest mobile carriers), “due to supply issues, Google and Huawei have decided to push out the launch date of the Nexus 6P to November 2” – despite the fact that shipping to stores will apparently start on October 23. Interestingly, right now, the Nexus 6P can’t be pre-ordered in Canada via Google Store (though customers were able to place orders earlier this month), so it looks like there is, indeed, a supply problem. At the moment, we don’t know if similar issues will also force Google and Huawei to delay the release of the Nexus 6P in other markets (hopefully not).
Unlike the Nexus 6P, the Nexus 5X (which is made by LG) should be launched this month in Canada – on October 19, to be exact. You can take a closer look at both new Nexus smartphones by checking out our Nexus 6P hands-on, and our Nexus 5X hands-on.
